ACOM is licensed by the Alabama Department of Public Education and fully accredited through the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) of the AOA, which is the only accrediting agency for predoctoral osteopathic medical education. The Commission and is recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE). On April 6, 2017, ACOM was granted full accreditation from the COCA.
