Translating Osteopathic Understanding into Community Health

The TOUCH program is an initiative of the Council of Osteopathic Student Government Presidents (COSGP). This national organization shares with ACOM the mission of improving the health of our local communities through service. As part of our commitment to this shared mission, ACOM offers its students the opportunity to be recognized both locally and nationally for their community service through the TOUCH program.

TOUCH provides a foundation of standards by which all osteopathic medical students can substantiate their service commitments. For every hour of eligible service, students will earn one TOUCH point. Students who accumulate 50 or more TOUCH points will become eligible for national acknowledgment at the COSGP conference. Their achievement in service will also be recognized at ACOM by mention in the Dean’s Letter.
